Mark Your Calendars for the Aggieville Showdown!
On April 1st, 2023, the Riley County Fairgrounds will be home to a one-of-a-kind cattle jackpot show- the Aggieville Showdown. Participants will showcase their market proespect cattle and bredding heifers in the Aggieville Business District. Judges will choose the Grand & Reserve Champion for both divisions. In addition to the cattle show, there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy like live music, a fashion show, and shopping, and other performances.
The national cattle jackpot show was created in June 2019 by friends with a passion for agriculture education, to celebrate American beef producers and educate the public about the livestock industry. The success of the first Aggieville Showdown in April of 2021 has paved the way for future events. They hope to continue to grow the eventand make it an even bigger celebration of agriculture in the 'Ville.
